Pasamos dos noches evaluando los faros proyectores LED del Subaru Forester Touring 2025 en carreteras rurales de dos vías, una autopista dividida y una pista de aterrizaje vacía. Aquí te contamos cómo se desempeñan en cuanto a alcance de luces bajas y altas, calidad de corte, iluminación en curvas, lógica de luces altas automáticas y deslumbramiento de vehículos que vienen en sentido contrario.

Prueba del coche: 2025 Forester Touring con proyectores LED, Faros Adaptativos (SRH) y Asistencia de Luz Alta (HBA). Presiones de neumáticos ajustadas a 35/33 psi (delante/detrás), con dos ocupantes y ~150 lb de carga. La alineación de los faros se verificó en una superficie plana según las pautas de la SAE. Temperatura ambiente de 57°F, seco y sin viento.

Las mediciones se tomaron con un luxómetro calibrado y distancias marcadas hasta 250 m en un circuito cerrado. El alcance de la luz baja es fuerte para su categoría. La iluminación hacia adelante hasta el umbral de 1.0 lux se midió aproximadamente a 95 m en la línea central y a 65 m en el arcén derecho, con un derrame útil más allá. El ancho del haz a 50 m abarca aproximadamente 22 m, cubriendo el carril más el arcén.

El corte es nítido con un suave ascenso hacia la derecha, limitando la luz dispersa mientras ilumina señales. La iluminación del primer plano es moderada—no tan brillante que comprometa la visión a distancia—y el punto más brillante se sitúa ligeramente a la izquierda del centro, ayudando a centrar el carril sin deslumbrar. Las luces altas extienden la visibilidad de manera convincente. Registramos ~210 m hasta 1.0 lux en el eje, con una intensidad central a 50 m de 24–26 lux y una buena dispersión lateral que ilumina ambos bordes en carreteras estrechas.

El regreso a luz baja deja un borde bien definido, así que no te sientes "ciego de noche" después de atenuar. La sensibilidad a la inclinación es promedio; con dos adultos y carga, la alineación se mantuvo estable, pero una carga pesada en la parte trasera hará que el punto caliente se eleve ya que no hay nivelación dinámica. La iluminación en curva depende del SRH en lugar de lámparas de esquina separadas. Con ángulos de dirección de ~10–12 grados, los proyectores giran notablemente, moviendo el punto caliente hacia adentro y elevando el corte del lado derecho del arcén.

En una curva de radio constante a 35 mph, la visibilidad en el carril interior mejoró en un estimado de 15–20 m en comparación con la alineación fija, ayudando a leer el vértice y la salida. A velocidades de estacionamiento, el giro aún responde, aunque hay un ligero retraso (muy por debajo de un segundo) al soltar el volante. El comportamiento del faro alto automático es bastante pulido. Se activa por encima de ~20 mph y cae a luz baja en ~0.6–0.8 s al detectar faros en sentido contrario o luces traseras de adelante, típicamente de 500–700 m (en sentido contrario) y 300–400 m (mismo sentido).

La iluminación urbana desactiva el HBA rápidamente. Notamos dos casos extremos: breves descensos tardíos sobre crestas pronunciadas y un ocasional descenso falso por señales de carretera verdes brillantes. La anulación del volante es inmediata, y el sistema se reanuda automáticamente tras la intervención manual. El deslumbramiento hacia el tráfico en sentido contrario está bien controlado.

A una altura simulada de los ojos del conductor en sentido contrario (1.2 m) y un desplazamiento lateral de 25 m, el derrame de luz baja midió entre 1.5–2.2 lux—cómodamente dentro de las metas típicas de las pautas—y no recibimos destellos de cortesía durante las pruebas en tráfico mixto. En general, la iluminación del Forester inspira confianza en rutas rurales y carreteras mojadas. Los noctámbulos que transportan carga pesada deberían revisar nuevamente la alineación de los faros, y los conductores en carreteras muy sinuosas pueden preferir el control manual de las luces altas, pero para la mayoría de los escenarios, esta configuración se encuentra entre las mejores ejecuciones de OEM en el segmento.
